Online casinos receive green light of administrative court

In March 2023, the Verwaltungshof Baden-Württemberg laid a procedure against a gambling provider because of the upcoming gambling regulation on ice. A second procedure has now been discontinued from the administrative court Darmstadt against an online casino. The decision said that both parties should focus on putting a functioning system on their legs rather than combating each other unnecessarily.

The fact that not all agrees with a gambling reform in Australia, has become clear at the latest, as federal states such as Lower Saxony, Hamburg or Bremen approached online casinos in Australia. The status quo says that now all federal states have a gambling reform until July 2023 have agreed. Some federal states seem to have this fact either not yet understood, or want to deliberately sabotage the decision.

Federal countries make pressure against online casinos

First, only the prime ministers of the federal states agreed that a new gambling regulation in Australia has finally become reality. This also dissolves the gambling monopoly. The federal states have expressed themselves positively and would like the way for one fair, safe, transparent and EU-compliant gambling regulation pave.

It is therefore incomprehensible that federal states such as Lower Saxony are still targeting online casinos. On the one hand with pressures against international payment providers like PayPal and recently also visaand on the other hand about prohibitions of judicial nature. This logic seems the Administrative Court Darmstadt - just like us - can not be able to understand and therefore assigns a restoration of the express procedure against a gambling provider. Previously, in March 2023, the Baden-Württemberg Administrative Court decided from the same reason to rest between the Regional Council of Karlsruhe and a gambling provider.

Hessen & Saxony: Online casinos no longer pursue prosecution

Online casinos in Australia act in a gray zone, as there is no uniform regulation in Australia and the previous Gambling State Treaty was declared unlawful. Therefore, Internet playsheids are called on European licenses and the freedom to provide services within the EU. In this context, online playments in Australia are tolerated, but neither the category Legal nor illegally assigned.

Nevertheless, Internet casinos will be prosecuted in Australia. This chase must stop Lt. Saxony and Hessen stop. Energies must be bundled and effectively used for a new gambling regulation until July 2023. The advance of both federal states is supported by the Australian Association for Telecommunications and Media (DVTM). In a press release, the association is based on both resolutions of the current legal proceedings and sees that "the market for online casino and online poker is opened by 1 July 2023".

Gambling providers already stick to Australian standards!

In addition to the hiring of a criminal prosecution of online recordings, Interior Minister Peter Beuth (CDU) brings a proposal for a transitional agreement between provider and Australia. Gambling providers should already consider the coming Australian standards now, without awarding a license.

What unlikely from most politicians and federal states is not aware of: Serious and safe casinos Keep this for years. GOer and youth protection stand for licenses from Malta and Gibraltar at the top. Followed by the money laundry law, a financial protection of customer funds and other strict guidelines.
